"The Western Express was my first experience with any rally and oddly enough I heard about it through a few YouTube videos and had to look into it. After chatting with Scott, I knew I needed to take partake in this event. The whole thing far exceeded any and all expectations I had for the weekend and I had very high expectations after talking to Scott about the event. The level of planning that goes into the event is more than evident as every stop along the way was perfectly executed and the hotels we stayed at are top notch! I can say without a doubt, the whole trip was unforgettable and the routes we took through California into Death Valley lead to the most fun driving experience I’ve ever had in my car, cruising through hours of the best roads on the west coast with a perfect size group of other car enthusiast. For anyone debating signing up, I highly recommend it! I drove from Seattle to San Diego for the Rally and back home from Las Vegas and would do it all over again! We’re already signed up and looking forward to next year!" - Nick Avgeres, Subaru Legacy GT Wagon
“After purchasing my Challenger Hellcat, a co-worker mentioned participating in a rally and how much fun he had. I really hadn’t done anything like this before but met Scott at a Cars & Coffee event in Fayetteville where he explained all the details. I was so excited to find out that we’d be doing a track day at Hallett since I had done many motorcycle lapping days there in the past. In addition to the great schedule of events, the lodging at high class hotels was something I was not accustomed to. But the best part of the experience was the great friends I made and still keep in touch with today! If you’re a gear head and love a fast paced weekend with like-minded company, this IS for you!” - Richard Norris, Dodge Challenger Hellcat/SRT Viper
“My husband and I first learned about the Express Rally at a local cars and coffee event. At the time, I sort of wrote it off because all we were focused on was showing our cars versus driving them. But when the rally photos started rolling in and I saw the awesome rides, beautiful scenery, and all the fun everyone was having, I started to get a little jealous that we weren’t there participating!
That’s when we took the plunge on the Southern Express and enjoyed every minute of it! With the Express Rally, you get top notch treatment hands down! It gave us the opportunity to meet new people and network with like-minded car enthusiasts, exclusive access to certain events/locations, great hotels to recoup after banging gears through exciting routes, and awesome media coverage! I like to think of the Express Rally crew as our personal car event travel agent now 😁👍🏼 If you are on the fence about participating in a rally, do yourself a favor and just jump! You won’t regret it!" - Anastasia Mathews, Ford Mustang GT & Shelby GT350
"I saw this Rally going on and decided to follow it via Facebook through its entirety. I didn’t know who any of the participants were at the time but I knew that the following year I had to be a part of it. The events, cars, and more importantly the people were amazing! We did a mile event on a 3 mile runway, and to this day that is one of my favorite memories. Going 150+ and it being totally legal will always put a smile on my face. The big takeaway was the people - people that share the same passion and respect for cars and driving them. This opened the gates to a multitude of car events that I now join. If you are looking for the best driving experience of your life and a way to meet lifelong friends, there is no better place to go." - Garrett Kuna, Shelby GT350R
"In one event you will experience what can almost not be fairly described with words. You will meet new friends, those with a common interest and those that on the core level you can relate to because we all love to drive! But beyond that you discover how much more you have in common with everyone and that just bonds you and makes the whole experience truly incredible." - Ian McQuade, Porsche Cayman
"The Holiday Hoon Express Rally held in December 2016 was my first rally experience, and after that, I decided it wasn’t going to be my last! I’ve been involved in various aspects of automotive culture my entire life: from audio shows and competitions, car shows, car meets, the drag strip, carving corners, drift events, autocross events, swap meets; you name it, I’ve experienced it actively or passively as a spectator. I always wanted to go on a rally as kind of the packaged auto enthusiast experience but always found the daunting price tag to be a bit of a turn-off, after-all, that money could be going back into my car, right?! Besides that, it always appeared to me that the rally experience was as always for a “certain type” of enthusiast; ie. someone with a ton of expendable cash, a $100K car, and more-than-enough vacation days to burn. When a friend of mine invited me on the Holiday Hoon Express Rally, I checked out the itinerary, time frame, cost and immediately signed up. I have to say, my experience was excellent to say the least. I had an amazing time meeting other enthusiasts from varying backgrounds with so many different types of vehicles. I also really enjoyed the planned outings for the group, as it helped everyone mingle and enjoy the weekend together... but we also had plenty of time to hangout with people we clicked with and go off and enjoy the city and what it had to offer. It was the perfect mix of a planned itinerary with plenty of time to explore and do as you wish. I enjoyed it so much that I signed up and attended the Southern Express Rally a few months later. Again, phenomenal. I’m already planning on signing up for next summer’s Southern Express. Before you ever attend an Express Rally; you have this preconceived notion about the whole thing... but once you’ve gone, you get it. And you’re so glad you’ve been there, done that, and are now signing up again. Just try it, and you’ll see what I’m talking about. No amount of verbiage or explanation can fully prepare you for the experience, it’s just something you’ve got to see and feel for yourself." - Kristina Triepsyn, BMW 335i
